My son has a fairly flat foot that is wide at the toes, but has always loved his Vapors. He tried on several new skates this time, including Grafs, CCM's, RBK 11K's, One90s, One95's, and X60's. Out of all of them, he chose the One75's. They were as light as the X60's in the same size (or felt that way in my hands), and the fit of the heel / footbed / toe box was ideal for him.
He has been wearing these for about 2 months now, and has taken more than a few shots off of the instep / toes / etc, including a couple of wristers from me in practice. So far, so good on the protection and durability front, because he has not complained that any of them hurt, and they do not appear to have any damage. Had Total Hockey had a pair of these in my size, my son's opinion of them (he is a bit of a gear snob like most kids his age) would have led me to purchase a pair myself.
These were a bit stiff the first 2-3 times he skated in them, but he quickly adapted to them and his straight-line speed has improved.
Finally, given the fact that Total Hockey was selling these for $115 with free shipping when we got them, these were a STEAL!
