Sher-Wood 5030 Paddle Measurement Listed Size TG True Size 27 29 26 28 25 27 24 26 21 23 The TG TRUE SIZE paddle measurement method was created to make ordering goalie sticks online easier, and more accurate. As each manufacturer measures their sticks in their own unique way, we created this method to help you compare your stick at home with the models that we have in our inventory. By knowing how your current stick size compares to the stick that you're looking to purchase, you can make the best purchasing decision possible. To measure your current stick, place the end of the tape measurer at the point where the top of the paddle meets the shaft of the stick on the non-blade side. Then, measure down the paddle in a straight line until the tape measurer crosses the bottom of the blade to determine the TG True paddle size. Keep in mind that this measurement may vary depending on the blade pattern, but it will help you choose the most comparable size.

Pros: Great value, Quality, Easy to use
I had my 5030 for a little over 4 years. I play in rec leagues and drop-ins of various levels. My stick took a lot of abuse and only broke after I took out my frustrations on the goal after a particularly tough outing. It never split in any form or fashion. One thing I noticed was that every now and then I would get a pretty good vibration in my hand from a hard shot but I attribute that to not having a good grip on the stick in those moments. Great stick for the price.

Great, but not so durable
Pros: Great value
Cons: durability
weight: 960g, ~2lb 2oz.for 25" pp33 pattern.
Always used a foam core design b/c of light weight and "deadening" of shots. Go through 3-4 of these sticks a year playing a couple of times a week. Depending on the "batch", some sticks last longer than others. Have been using these sticks for years and they are (IMO) a great compromise between performance and value.

Durability is average, but feel is great
Pros: Great value
I love a more whippy stick, and this stick was great for me. It didn't last as long as I would have liked, but I enjoyed the flex and feel so much that I bought a few of them. Unfortunately, I just couldn't keep buying sticks anymore so I had to go with something more durable. At this sale price, however, I'm starting to reconsider!
