been playing for 30+ years so i've owned a lot of gear and feel like i can give a good review on stuff and why it's good or bad. that said....
i've tried on almost every elbow pad in the store and liked these the best.
comfortable, not bulky, hard elbow caps, short on the forearm. they fit almost old school which is what i was looking for with modern protection. these do it for me. short forearms so they don't get in the way of my gloves and super comfortable for me. not bad on the wallet either, around $50.

these pads took some getting used to but after the first skate, felt very comfortable, durable, and protection was great against hackers.
