Sherwood Hockey Nexon N6 Goal Stick

With an optimized paddle-to-shaft weight ratio, the Nexon N6 Goalie Stick provides perfect balance during high and low movements for quicker blocker moves, easier puck deflection and increased puck control. Multiple layers of a refined carbon/glass blend are placed from top to bottom. As a result, energy is absorbed and equally distributed across the paddle, creating more comfort and preventing the stick from becoming soft over time. Using foam stabilizer technology, the N6 blade and paddle have a high-density foam core reinforced with fiberglass. This helps dampen high frequency shocks and prevent numbing when blocking a shot with the stick. Finally, a secure and comfortable grip on the shaft allows for more control and easy hand displacement along the shaft for poke checking. Sher-Wood Nexon N6 Paddle Measurement Listed Size TG True Size 27 28 26 27 25 26 24 25 21 23 The TG TRUE SIZE paddle measurement method was created to make ordering goalie sticks online easier, and more accurate. As each manufacturer measures their sticks in their own unique way, we created this method to help you compare your stick at home with the models that we have in our inventory. By knowing how your current stick size compares to the stick that you're looking to purchase, you can make the best purchasing decision possible. To measure your current stick, place the end of the tape measurer at the point where the top of the paddle meets the shaft of the stick on the non-blade side. Then, measure down the paddle in a straight line until the tape measurer crosses the bottom of the blade to determine the TG True paddle size. Keep in mind that this measurement may vary depending on the blade pattern, but it will help you choose the most comparable size.

Good Stick
Pros: Quality, Easy to use, feel
Was weary about trying a composite stick because of hearing how fragile the shafts were. Curisity got the best of me, out of the box this stick is super light and feels great. First time out took a little getting used to the different feel of the puck hitting the composite vs foam core, but that was quick to get used to, easy to control rebounds and feels great when playing the puck. My fear of taking a shot off the shaft and it breaking were eleviated in my first use took a super hard slap shot from the top of the circle, left a puck mark, but no damage at all. Want to buy another one.

Great design, terrible durability
Pros: Easy to use, Features
Cons: Quality, Expensive
I picked this stick up to test out a composite model. I absolutely love the design, weight, and balance of this stick. I had no problems playing the puck or controlling rebounds.
Unfortunately, the stick only lasted five games. I took a decent wrist shot off the shaft just above my blocker, and the impact location crumbled like an egg shell. A few minutes later I went behind the net to stop the puck and the stick broke.
I've destroyed a lot of sticks over the years, but this is the first time I've lost a new stick to a wrist shot from 20 feet out. Normally, I would recommend Sher-wood in a heartbeat, but after this experience, I think I'm going to look at some of the other manufacturers. I might have just had bad luck picking up a stick with a weak spot, but I will definitely rethink future business with Sher-wood. I expect more out of a $100 stick.
Also, a final warning. Sher-wood prints a caveat on their goalie sticks that they do not honor. There is a "limited 30-day" warranty label printed on the shaft, however as I found out, the website clearly states that goalie sticks are not included in this warranty...why print it on the stick then.
