Warrior Abyss '12 Paddle Measurement Listed Size TG True Size 27.5 28.5 26 27.5 25 26.5 23.5 24.5 21 22.5 The TG TRUE SIZE paddle measurement method was created to make ordering goalie sticks online easier, and more accurate. As each manufacturer measures their sticks in their own unique way, we created this method to help you compare your stick at home with the models that we have in our inventory. By knowing how your current stick size compares to the stick that you're looking to purchase, you can make the best purchasing decision possible. To measure your current stick, place the end of the tape measurer at the point where the top of the paddle meets the shaft of the stick on the non-blade side. Then, measure down the paddle in a straight line until the tape measurer crosses the bottom of the blade to determine the TG True paddle size. Keep in mind that this measurement may vary depending on the blade pattern, but it will help you choose the most comparable size.

Foam cracked very quickly
Cons: Quality
I loved the flex, feel and price of this stick in the store so I took a chance on it. However, after only a month I noticed a vibration at impact and soon afterwards I noticed that the blade delaminated at the toe. Once that happened, about 2" of foam just fell out. I only play once per week! Guess I got what I paid for.

2012 Abyss Stick
Pros: Helped improve my game, Great value, Quality, Easy to use
Cons: paint quality
Got this, coming from the Warrior Abyss Composite Hybrid Goalie Stick '11 Model. I got it in natural w/ red. The first thing I noticed, is the logo had spider web cracking all throughout it due to it being natural with little-to-no clear coating on it. Not a big deal, but feel in terms of long term durability it might be a downside. Overall the balance is a lot better feeling than the '11 composite. First thing I did to it was cut out my "shark fin" grooves for my finger, smoothed it out, taped it up, and put my cut-down tacki-mac onto the end. I've played 3 times with it so far. Overall it is heavier than the Abyss Composite '11, but the balance makes it un noticable, and this one feels a lot better in my hand. This one deadens the shock of a shot a lot better too. Overall--and so far--it's not a bad stick at all for the money. My '11 was a little too short so it's going to be my last resort back-up stick for now on.
Can't complain at all other than cosmetics like mentioned, but it's hockey, and it's going to get torn up anyway.
