Bad Knee Caps
Pros: Great value
Cons: Quality
Same experience as the others writing reviews on this Graf shinguard; first pair I ordered, cracked right knee right away; second pair--same thing (had to be right knee again, argh!). Straps are thin and elastic is cheap. While the design was good in that they are nicely streamlined and light weight, the quality is definitely defective. Very unhappy to have two pairs do the same thing.

Keep shopping
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Quality
I purchased these a year ago and have worn them for less than 20 games. While initially pleased with the fit and comfort - notwithstanding the lousy strap system - as others have noted, the knee caps on both shin guards have cracked within the last month due to hard falls to the ice...first on my right knee and, more recently, my left. I have also noted the stitching unraveling in several spots. Definitely a design defect and I would highly recommend you steer away from this product. Has anyone contacted Graf about this??

Cracked kneecaps 3 games in...
Cons: Quality
Apparently I am not the only person with this problem. They were very comfortable and protective until I managed to get them into my third game, when suiting down I noticed that both knee caps were completely destroyed. This is some sort of a material quality issue, and needs to be rectified. I just had to drop another 95 bucks on new shins.

So far, so good; excellent, in fact
Pros: Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features
I've had these a couple months and love them. I've not experienced any problems with cracking like other reviewers. They are extremely comfortable, yet provide ample coverage, at least for a forward. When I'm playing, I don't even know they're there--which, to me, is sign of good equipment. I can't comment on durability yet.

Major flaws in design and protection
Cons: Quality
Aside for the akward strap issue, I went down hard once in these and cracked both knee caps...both in the exact same spot, from the bottom middle of the stitching to half way up the cap.
This could be some sort of an amazing coincidence and I hit the ice exactly the same on both knees at exactly the same time, with exactly the same force, or it's one heck of a flaw that might account for the super sweet discount. Bottom line, be careful of deals this good. Before I bought them there was only one review on this sight and it mentioned the straps, which I could let pass, the sub par knee caps, not so much.
Be safe!

Decent Pad
Pros: Great value, Quality, Features
Cons: pads tend to ride outwards leaving knee vulnerable
Good quality shin pad for the price. Am happy with the comfort and fit. Pads don't fit contour of leg like others I have worn do so takes a bit to figure out positioning of them when putting them on (don't feel knee slide into place with them). Pads do ride outwards a bit during play (even with straps tight and tape on). Wasn't aware of this and first game with them took a shot on the inside of the knee just clipping the plastic. Was rather painful. Past shin guards had wider knee cap protection and never had this happen in 10+ years. Protection otherwise seems quite good. Do like the air vents in the front, help keep you cooler while playing.

Very Happy with all of Graf's protection line
Pros: Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features
All I can say is the Graf's protection line in the GS and G700 line are awsome. Great Price for pro level pads. The shin pads have memory foam in the knee and on the shin that is simply great. Same thing on the elbow pads. The shin pads are light, comfortable and provide plenty of protection. I have nothing bad to say about these except they do get a little hot as ventilation is not that great. You will be happy with any high level pads you get, but you can get these at 1/2 the price and be just as happy.
Highly recommend.

Decent pad for good price
Pros: Great value, Quality, Features
Cons: lower strap
Upgraded to new shins pads- these pads are nice quality for the price.
pro: light, seem durable, and dry quickly.
con: the shins narrow toward the bottom. I'm used to a bulkier pad, so they took some getting used to. I'd say they are good for offense, but a defenseman may want a bigger shin. The bottom strap in a bit annoying, but then again, its new to me so may just be a user preference.
overall: good deal for a decent pad. The back covers the entire calf, which is a nice thing, esp if you've never had it.
