Pros: Helped improve my game, Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features
Everyone has heard the phrase 'you get what you pay for.' Well, here's another one and it perfectly describes these shoulder pads: 'Don't ever be afraid to buy the best - you'll always be happy with it.' I am simply stunned how wonderful these should pads are. My old pads were good - Vapor 20's. But honestly, I had no point of reference, so I thought they were fine. However, they did seem stiff and kind of restrictive. Now I know why - while adequate, they're an entry level price point pad. The Total One Supreme's, on the other hand, are top of the line. These pads have everything a player could possibly want - light, superior protection, flexibility and even adjustability. I wore these in a game for the first time today. My first thought after putting them on was 'That's it?' Where's the weight? Where's the bulkiness? At the same time though, I felt perfectly safe and protected. Out on the ice, where it counts, they performed beautifully. I felt completely protected, yet the pads moved as I moved - I've never had this feeling of freedom on the ice before. You'll almost forget you're wearing pads until making contact with the opposition. Then, you'll fully appreciate the max-sorb technology. It really does work - the impact is absorbed and spread out.
In summary, these pads are simply the best. Are they expensive? Compared to lower-end pads, yes. Are they worth it? Every penny. And that's why these shoulder pads are such an incredible value. Very highly recommended!
