LOVE These Shins!
Pros: Helped improve my game, Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features
Ok...So I found myself wanting to replace some very old CCM Supra 400 shin guards from circa 1995. I first looked into CCM's again (the U+ 12 model), and was initially put off by the lightness of the pad and a subsequent defect in the left liner donut.
Wanting new pads, I chose these over some from the Easton EQ line, and I'm ever so glad that I did. It has the same Y-strap on the bottom and single strap on top like the CCM's, so you can definitely use these without tape. They're also surprisingly light, and feel very cool (venting) on the leg. I can see how Reebok owns CCM that they'd be similar, and the 7k's have everything the U+ 12's do and more. First game was today, and it was easy to overlook the fact that they were even on. Any questions about durability and the buckles on them seem overblown to me, as both seem like sturdy plastics.
One note about sizing, though...I'm 6'5", and my old CCM's were 16.5". I've always found them to be a bit long for my liking, which is why I've been shopping for 16" pads. Reebok recommends this size to those 5'10"-6'2", though, so you might want to measure or go with your gut rather than their recommendation.

Great Shinpads
Pros: Quality, Features
Reebok makes an excellent shin pad from the JOFA design. The strapping system works very well so long as you don't put too much stress on the plastic clips. Blocked lots of shots and never felt a thing in these. The only downside is that they are wide at the bottom and required you to wear them outside the tongues, which is personal preference. Also, be sure to try moving the liners up and down for optimal fit to avoid them banging into your skates.

Great Shinguards
Pros: Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features
Cons: straps
So far these are some of the best shins I have used. Great protection, and decent venting. The only thing Im not a fan of is the strap system.

Pros: Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features, breathable shins stay cool
Very breathable front. Straps are good enough by themselves. They take pucks well with no pain. Don't feel bulky. I haven't had them long enough to judge durability, but if they're anything like my old jofa/boks, they'll last a while.
