Reebok 11K Chest & Arm

The anatomical fit 11K chest protector incorporates the unique Kinetic Fit System (KFS) technology, allowing the equipment to move with the goalie to ensure protection while enhancing performance. It's an amazing update to an already-classic design. * Redesigned arm hinges increase flexibility allowing greater puck control * Spine adjustment addresses the front to back weight distribution and allows for sizing adjustment for mid season growth * Joint Discharge Principle (JDP) caps disperse impact away from the elbow and shoulders * Chest block configuration is specifically positioned for the goalie torso to bend at the flex points

Quality Chest&Arm
Pros: Great value, Quality, Easy to use
The 11k is a very good chest&arm pad. The arms run a tad big for my liking, but the protection is excellent. Also, if you can get it with an additional discount, the 11k is the best value out there.

This one is just right
Pros: Quality, Features
I've been through a few chest protectors lately. Vaughn, Brown, Bauer. I felt like the three little bears. This one wasn't protective enough, this one was too bulky etc. Then I went into Total Hockey near me for a sharpening and I just decided to try on the 11K for fun while I was waiting with no intention of buying. I was wearing the Bauer Pro, and the fit was just a bit too small on me, and found the protection in the arms a bit lacking for a pro-level c/a, but it wasn't so bad I felt I needed to replace it.
As soon as I put the RBK on it was basically love at first sight. I've never been a RBK fan of Reebok chest protectors in the past. I've found the c/a's to be too bulky and restrictive. This however seemed to be a perfect mix of protection and bulk.
After wearing it for about 2 months now I've just become more and more impressed with it. It fits like a dream, and protection is top shelf.
I'll admit the sizes are really strange so I would not suggest buying it sight unseen. The jump between small and medium was night and day. Usually I'm borderline small/medium usually opting for the small for mobility purposes. There was no doubt on this one. I'd say RBK's medium is closer to other companies larges. Also it's heavier than the Vaughn and Bauer pro models, but with that weight comes better protection so it is a tradeoff. Though you shouldn't be ruling any product out because of ounces.
Overall this is the happiest I've ever been in a c/a for a long time.

Great new technology
Pros: Quality, Features
It was time to upgrade from my 10 yr old Koho Pro style C&A, and after looking at all the options, this Reebok C&A provided a great fit and superior protection at the price I expected to pay for a Pro level C&A. There are several straps which you can spend quite a few hours tweaking to find your exact fit (arm straps, 2 torso straps, and the Y straps from the shoulders to the small of the back). Break in is pretty quick with the 2 shoulder breaks...so sitting on them for a few hours while watching TV will help them hold their shape before you hit the ice. The arm floaters are HUGE and will really help close the armpit holes when you go into the butterfly. The final 2 features I'm impressed with is the swap-able glove side bottom wrist protector which can be switched based on which hand you hold your glove (its not connected to the arms, so it provides you greater range of motion) and the belt loops on the front of the pad which allows it to be connected to Reebok's 11K pant (which I purchased after I discovered!). Despite it's girth, it's also pretty flexible. I haven't felt hindered in anyway.
The only negative I can see about the item is the waist straps. No matter how tight I make them, they don't seem to really clench the protector that much...so I've been playing with them fairly loose. I've only used it twice, so I can't speak to the durability, but its construction and material is on par with my old pro level Koho, so I expect it to last for quite some time.
