Pros: Quality, Easy to use, Features, no more pain from blocked shots
Cons: heel strap could be better
I was skeptical to purchase these because of the price. The first game I used these I took a pretty hard shot off the foot, and to my surprise felt no pain. AWESOME!
These are well worth the investment. They are very light weight and do not effect your stride at all, it doesn't even feel like you are wearing them.
The only cons I noticed, is the velcro strap on the heel has too much of the hook section and not enough loop. It hasn't come undone on me yet so its not really an issue, but for skinnier heeled skated it may become one that could possibly be fixed with a different velcro strap.
Appearance wise they look a little goofy and have a blueish tint to them. It would been nice if they didn't have the blueish tint, but it doesn't affect the product at all.
I wear size 8 wide Graf G5's and have the large skate fenders, I tried on the SM/MD fenders but the were tight and didn't fit properly.
Bottom line, skate fenders are a must have for defensive players. They are a great solid product and live up to what they claim to do, which is why you see many defense men using them now in the NHL.
