What year is this?
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: still not good value
My son's (6 year old) bauer lil rookie elbow pads were lost/stolen. Needed something in a pinch and ran to the only store open that had hockey gear. This was the only set they had in his size.
These remind me of 1980's hockey at it's finest. There is absolutely nothing here. Flimsy and thin...they may say there's some kind of plastic cap in there but it's almost non-existent.
I get they're inexpensive, but for a couple of bucks more (or the same price, you can get much better stuff).
My son used these once before I bought another set of lil rookie's from bauer (great value, imho). I donated these to the hockey association to use on the "try hockey for free" days.

My son used these in his learn to play over the summer and loved them. He fell alot and they were definately padded enough for him!
