Easton Synergy EQ50 Grip Stick

Control the game with the Easton Synergy EQ50 Hockey Stick. Featuring innovative Focus Weight Technology that breaks free from traditional thinking of stick design and gives you a supremely balanced stick with a supernatural feel for the game. What is Focus Weight Technology (FWT)?Focus Weight Technology provides a small amount of weight to key points in the blade and shaft to provide improved balance and puck feel. How exactly does Focus Weight Technology improve my game?Control: 15 grams of added weight in the blade gives you a feeling of knowing exactly where your blade is at all times, which gives you more control over stick movements both with and without the puck. Passing: FWT redistributes and focuses weight inside the ultra-light blade, which not only helps you know where your blade is on the ice, but also helps you receive tough passes by giving you some mass behind your stick movements.Shooting: With added weight comes added power. FWT delivers more power and velocity to your shot by adding mass that focuses the maximum power point to the sweet spot of the blade. What about the removable shaft weight? The customizable and removable weighted end cap helps counter-balance the blade and provides you with a perfectly balanced high-performance piece of equipment.Anything else? * Unique use of Focus Weight Technology adds 15 grams to the blade * A small amount of added weight exponentially adds more power and velocity to your shot * Customizable weighted end cap with 4 individual counter balance weights (20 grams total) ensures the stick is balanced to the individuals preference * Kevlar wrapped shaft for impact protection and vibration dampening * Multi-rib and Micro-bladder blade construction further enhances puck feel * Time-tested Easton Synergy design gives you confidence in knowing its durability and high-performance potential * Grip coating provides an added layer of control to the stick * 30 Day Manufacturere's Warranty

Buy this, not bauer.
Pros: Helped improve my game, Quality, Easy to use, Features, feel, power, accuracy
Cons: breaks a lot
Before using this stick i had used the vapor xx,xxx, xxxx, and X:60, and the supreme one90, one95, and total one. After using the total one for 2 months, i was a little bit upset that bauer had let me down. I am a defenseman who takes a lot of slappers, so the velocity of the stick was fine and everything, but the stick had no feel and no accuracy. Then, i broke it. That turned out to be good for me, because i ended up getting a EQ 50 and i love them. For those of you who only care about speed and velocity, i had gunned the total one and it was hitting 67 on average and its terminal was about 70. With the EQ, i was hitting 69/70 on average and the terminal was about 73. But the huge difference was the feel and accuracy. I felt i was able to be pinpoint with the EQ and the feel was amazing! This is the best product i have ever used and i would highly advise you to use it. (on the down side, i have broken 3 in 4 months and the easton warranty people are stingy)

Excellent Stick
Pros: Features, weight system in both blade and butt end
Cons: Expensive
Walking in to my local shop, I was planning on purchasing a Reebok 11k, yet when I held it in my hands, I immediatley noticed that the reebok was too light and felt tingy. I picked up the eq50 and realized that it had a true stick feel and felt well balanced. I purchased the stick and used it the next day, only to find that the feel and power generated from the weights in both the blade and the butt end, gives you the ultimate control. I think the whole weighted system is very cool. It lets you control how you want your stick to perform. I have a wicked shot, but not the greatest hands; so I added all the weights in the blade, and left only 2 out of the 4 weights in the butt end. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase, and this stick is definetly one of my favorites, besides the graphics; they look very bland.
