The Reebok NHL socks fit the old saying 'you get what you pay for.' Yes, they're expensive as compared to the typical knit socks we've all bought. However, there's several key differences that make them worth the money.
1. Light, breathable material. Shinguards stay in place, but your legs remain cool. You can even feel the cool breeze as you skate. This keeps them from getting heavy with sweat too.
2. Material is very strong and resistant to tearing.
3. Cosmetics: let's face it, if you're paying extra, you want the socks to look good, right? That's certainly the case here. Makes me feel like a pro just wearing them.
4. Velcro strap attaches securely to your jock/undergarment.
I haven't had mine very long (L.A. Kings, white), but I'm very impressed. Based on other reviews I've read, I have a feeling these will last a very long time. Highly recommended!
