Pros: Helped improve my game, Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features, lightweight
I have had these over a couple of months now. I did not get them baked at first. I waited up until about 3 months in to do so. I wish I would have done so at first. I used my home oven. Worked perfect. There were a few hot spots on the skate but that was expected. These are my first pair of Garfs. The boot is not stiff as others on the market. I took a slap shot from a high school kid about 20 feet away right at the ankle. The skates didn't give much protection. That was about 4 months ago and Im still not 100 percent. I blame the soft boot. The skates remain lightweight. I do take the insoles out after every skate. I heard Grafs become "waterlogged" and become heavy after a time period. The material used on these skates are different from many Grafs I believe. The other issue I have with the skate is the runners continue to make a "click" sound whenever I walk from the ice to the locker room. Im not sure this happens on the ice but if it does I could see some loss of power in the strides. I did not get these skates profiled but I feel it would help improve my skating if I do. These are very comfortable boot once they start to break in. Great strong toe cap. Great price. I would of been upset paying full price though.
