Pros: Easy to use, Features
Cons: Quality, Difficult to use, easton website a mess to try and get information, easton website has broken pages for warranty, no easton cage for s19
My son loves this helmet, me not so much. While I would give it stars across the board normally I can't. This is our second S19 this year. As mentioned across the web finding a cage for it is difficult. We did not notice that with a Bauer cage the top edge pressed against the helmet and caused the mounting holes on the top front to pull right out of the plastic. Ok our fault for not seeing that, buy a new one. Fixed with 1 soft, 1 hard washer, and longer screw on each hole to give clearance.
The bigger issue is that both helmets had the chin strap fail. The first one lasted a week and then the short side strap had the "button" pull right out of the strap itself. Had to give up my strap to fix (Bauer strap and has been on my helmet for 6 years). Well we just received the new helmet yesterday. The very first time my son went to undo the chinstrap it did exactly the same thing! Had to make hockey tape strap for practice!
While we think this is a very good helmet the little things like the strap and lack of a matching cage will definitely cause us to not go with Easton next time.

Easton S19 Helmet
Pros: Quality, Easy to use
This helmet is great. It is so light compared to other helmets I tried. I currently have the CCM FM80 cage on it and it fits fine. The adjustment in the back is easy to adjust and I think this is just an all around good helmet.

Super Light/Excellent Protection
Pros: Easy to use, Great value, Quality, Features, superior protection, unbelievably light
Cons: Expensive, hard to mount on cage
I purchased this helmet last summer and absolutely love it. It's the lightest and most solid helmet on the market today for protection. The inside EPP liner is denser than on most other helmets which further increases the protection factor and is mechanically attached to the outside one piece shell. The comfort is first grade, although the one piece adjustment at the back does take a little time to get used to. The up side is there is no fiddling with screws or outside clips, one quick snap adjustment and your set. The protective ear covers also easily snap in and out for those guys who don't like them, The inside padding is set in a pattern to deliver maximum comfort and ventilation. The only downside to this helmet is it takes a bit of time to properly mount a cage on this helmet and requires a bit of patience to get it right. So far I've found the Reebok/Jofa 480 and the Itech Titanium cage fits this helmet reasonalbly well. It takes a bit of trial and error to get the retainer hooks at the top of the helmet just the right height to make these cages fit correctly but they do work on this helmet. Easton would be wise to develop a lighter, thinner cage of their own design to further aid in sales of this revolutionary helmet. I think Easton is headed in the right direction with this helmet in developing a safer and lighter helmet to aid in the prevention of concussions in ice hockey.

s 19 problems
I bought this helmet for my 8 year old thinking the light weight may give some advantage as well as increased protection. We had Total Hockey place a light weight Bauer cage with this helmet for the added vision as well as weight reduction. This cage will not fit properly on the helmet and as a matter of fact, the j clips have to be removed to get full closure, even on the highest setting. Quite dangerous and can cause increased risk of concussion. After contacting Total Hockey, they informed me that Easton was aware of the problem, the s19 cage which was supposed to go with this helmet had some design flaws which Easton was working on and a redesigned thin light weight Easton s19 cage would be coming out soon and they would replace. 7 months later, no redesigned cage. Several emails to Easton hockey with no reply, and as a matter of fact, I received e-mail notification back that they were deleted without even being read. If you do not mind the thicker Easton cage, Total Hockey informed me they can make it fit. Otherwise, save your money and buy a Bauer helmet where the cage will fit properly. Total Hockey is fully aware of the problem as well, and, as usual, are helpfull in doing their best with the situation. But one employee told me they have tried every cage they sell, and none seems to fit very well. If you do not believe this, notice how this helmet is the only one not sold as a helmet/cage combo.

Recommend for derby
Pros: Quality
Cons: Expensive
I purchased this helmet for roller derby. The fit is good (and my head is small!) but for derby I don't use a face mask, so that may be why I haven't had the shifting problems that others have found. It is incredibly light weight and although the harder (more protective) lining is less comfortable than the derby lining I'm used to, the more effective lining is why I switched to hockey helmets. I haven't tried the jammer/pivot P's on to see how easily they will fit over it, but I am very happy. Pricey, but it is my brain on the line.

Light but shifts
Pros: Easy to use, light weight
Cons: Expensive, shifts
Very light, but the fit is not great. It shifts side to side. Both my wife and I are having the same problems. It seems like they need extra padding around the temples. - It doesn't work well with a cage. My mid level face mask pulls the helmet downward, especially when my hair gets wet. Perhaps I will try a lighter face mask. - It may be very protective but it dents and scratches easy. If you care about that, you will need a helmet bag. - It is easy to use. There is one place that can be adjusted in the back. It's an easy snap system like a ball cap.

So light it is Scary
Pros: Easy to use, Features
I have owned just about every helmet on the market. Some people are into jerseys, sticks, skates.. I like helmets. The only helmet I have not owned is the M11 so I don't know about those but I can tell you this helmet is the best fitting most comfortable helmet not to mention the lightest helmet I have ever placed on my head. If your ready for a new helmet and want something truly cutting edge this is it. spend the extra money and get one. You will be amazed. I know I am and that has been something I have never said before. I "think" I am finaly happy with a helmet. I will say I wear a Large in most helmets but I had to get XL in this one and I wear a Med. CCM vector 8 because the Large is too big. so this I guess this runs a little smaller than most helmets.

Awesome helmet, Super light!
Pros: Great value, Quality, super light weight
Bought this helmet 4 months ago and its been PERFECT. Everyone I come across is shocked at how light it is... Insanely light, no lie. It feels like a high-end bicycle helmet more than a Hockey helmet.
I bolted on an Oakley visor with no issue at all. Its been super sturdy and hasn't given me any problems to date. (Visor is heavier than the helmet!)
I totally recommend this helmet over any other on the market today, regardless if you are in a checking league or just a beer league player.

Awesome helmet! Feather light and nice fit. Looked at the Messier but this helmet looks better, is way lighter and has better protection. This is a revolution in helmets!
