Pros: instant refund from totalhockey
Cons: Quality, Expensive, lacking "inspection", missing a sewn-in buckle!, defective!
I was so excited to get my Brian's Chest protector... up until the minute I took it out of the box! WOW, never been so let down by a piece of gear... This unit is WAY over-priced for the quality of the product. Usually we rant and rave about Canadian-made goalie gear (and deservedly so..) because of the pride they take in manufacturing hockey gear, but this product misses the mark BIG TIME! Seems completely Chinese-made (and poor even for Chinese standards as well!) Not only was the first impression off, but when I tried it on, I realized that one of the main attachment straps had the buckle MISSING! I'm not talking about it fell off, I'm talking about it was sewn without the appropriate buckle sewn INTO the strap! Wow, must have been made while watching a playoff game with too many Molsons on board! Needless to say, returned it right away and now turned off to Brians for good! If you're looking at gear that doesn't follow the Reebok/Bauer/Vaughn herd, try Warrior... but stay away from the over-priced, over-rated Brians.
