Great Blocker
Pros: Quality, Features, super light weight
Cons: a little pricey
I recently purchased this blocker as an upgrade to the Vaughn 7407 (which is also a great blocker). The first thing I noticed was the super light weight, movement is effortless and comfortable. I noticed The features next. good wrap around finger tip protection, a wide cuff for extra movement, an index finger guard for paddle down saves is great. They also added a removable upper wrist air pillow which is great. Protection is awesome, I didn't feel any slap shots. It was a little pricey, and its new so I'm not sure about durability, but overall... an excellent buy!

Why this Blocker?
Pros: Great value, Helped improve my game, Quality, Features
I use the focus blocker really for one main reason. Protection. I have broken my index finger on my blocker hand 8 times throughout my career. Serious. The Focus is designed so that the blocking surface itself is lowered on your arm/hand, which adds extra space between the bottom of the blocker and your fingers, all the while allowing for easy paddle-down play. This keeps me from smashing my fingers as well as helps to prevent them from getting whacked by opposing sticks.
And to me it makes even more sense if you think about it... when you move the blocking surface down, your arm is still there to block a puck above the blocker, PLUS you got some extra blocking surface down below, so it's almost like it take up more net.... which is all I care about as a goalie.
