Good product for the price

Cons: coverage/protection
Some times you get what you pay for and sometimes not. This product falls in the middle of that statement. I have used the entry level Bauer chest/arm protector now in 6 games, and 4 skate and stick sessions, conclusion: it is a well made product that is highly adjustable and comfortable with no visible signs of wear noticed. Here is the con: protection. Their is no side protection by your ribs so if the opposite team has you in a X-cross and shoot from the side, you have no protection because their simply is no padding. Also you will feel all slapshots as if someone punches you. A few of them even knocked the wind out of me briefly.
My conclusion: very good product for the price, however if you plan on performing in aggressive tournaments, then this product is not for you due to the lack of side protection by your ribs and you feel slapshots way too much.

This is a great buy for the price, even if the price wasn't so low, it would still be great. The strapd alow you to adjust it to your comfort, it also provides great protection with the removable extra pad on the bottom of it.
