Good pant, needs more features
Pros: Quality, good price, very lightweight, good fit
Cons: no hard tail bone pad, no extra hip pointer pads, small lower 5 hole pads
This pant is good quality and very lightweight. It has solid protection up front, although the lower 5 hole pads could be bigger. I like the 2 belts and the extra front protector. Kidney pads are also good and solid.
There are 2 areas I would like to be better. There is no hard tailbone protector built in which can be a problem if you get bowled over in a game. Also, there are no extra soft sliding pads for the hip bones for those of us who still do the double pad stack. I have had some hip bruises already because of this. I would assume that the upper level Bauer pants do have these features. I was disappointed that these did not.
I would recommend these for a 'C' league level goalie or maybe a pure butterfly goalie. If you are a hybrid or play at a higher level, I would spend some more and get the better pant.
