I had read all of the positive reviews about these skates so I figured I would give them a try.
My previous skates were RBK 2K, so not a high level starting point to begin with for comparisons.
At first I actually had problems using them due to comfort and how they affect how you play.
I added new gel liner and a quick bake and they feel way way better...the first time out I was ready to sell them the next day due to how they hurt my feet and how they altered my playing..
Well...After sitting in the garage for a couple weeks, I decided to give them another try (added gel sole and bake since the first skate).
Sure glad I did because once I adjusted to how they made skate and move they are no longer for sale.....2 practices and 1 game later I am back on the band wagon with everyone else.
I do 100% recommend some sort of gel or foam sole and a quick bake....(went from terrible pain to a perfect fit) and to practice in them before jumping right into a game situation.
Best way I can describe the change is you are able to move way quicker (in all directions), plus it seemed to change my balance position.
You feel lightning fast with them....I was actually over skating and finding myself too far out or too wide....You push....you go....farther and faster then before.
All in all I think this was a great investment since you can directly see a performance improvement...as long as you want to be quicker across the crease and anywhere else..even to the corners or behind the net.
If your looking for new skates and something to give you an edge then I would not pass up these skates.
