This is a pretty solid helment, but its not great and not much of an improvement over the 5500.
I have been really happy with my 5500 and bought the 7500 simply due to availability. I wasn't expecting miracles, but as the higher numbered replacement, I was expecting some improvements. There are a few changes, but they are minor and do not add to the performance or functionality of the helmet. The only potential upgrade I can see is that the vents are reconfigured and slightly bigger. This hopefully will lead to better ventilation, but I have no complaints about the 5500.
In summary, if you like the 5500, you'll probably like the 7500 too. They're essentially the same.

I'm on my second one. The first one, the pads start coming unstuck after about 6 months so I brought it back. Same thing has happened to this one. Fit is amazing. Protection is okay. The M11 protects better.

It's ok
Pros: Quality, Easy to use, really easy adjustment
This is defiantly not the way some of the reviews say. You defiantly know you have it on. The sizing chart is right though. If you wear the correct size hat to your head or take the measurements right they are right on. As being said the only helmet I have ever worn that you could not feel it on your head was a Jofa. I don't even see them any more.

Fits wider heads

I just got this helmet. Will be trying it out this weekend. It's a medium. My last helmet is an RBK 6K Large with a med bauer cage. The RBK 6k medium was too narrow for my head and I had to move up to a large. The only problem is that it moves a bit back to front and sits low on the brow. The Bauer 7500 in a medium fits nice and snug. No movement. I'm asian so I had a tough time finding a helmet that wouldn't put pressure on my temples. The Bauer 7500 fits really well. The NBH 8500 also fit, but it's much more $$. I tried on a lot of helmets. From all price points. The construction is very similar to the RBK 6K.

Great helmet. #1 reason? It protects my head very well. I took my hardest fall a week ago. Slammed the back of my head on the ice. Must of looked pretty bad because the Coach came over concerned. ... I didn't feel a bit of pain or shock from the fall. I am a believer in this helmet!!!

I bought this helmet because of fit of my last helmet wasn't right for my head. I'm not the least dissappointed. This is a great helmet offering excellent triple layer protection and easy adjustability. The poron padding inside makes the fit of this helmet a dream to wear and is probably in my opinion the best of any similar model on the market. Only a vinyl nitrate liner might offer a little better comfort in the way of fit but then you lose a bit of the protection factor.I owned a Bauer 5000 helmet years ago and remembered how I kicked myself for getting rid of it and this helmet has given me the same sort of comfort and fit but has even improved it. This is a mid range helmet with top end protection and comfort and I highly recommend it if you have a larger rounded head like mine. This helmet looks great and has excellent ventilation and distributes perspiration nicely. All in all one of the best I have owned. I highly recommend this helmet if the fit is right for you.

Good helmet

Having suffered several concussions over the years a solid helmet is a must for me. This helmet definitely delivered. It is light weight so I dont really even feel it on my head, and it fits perfectly. I tried the rbk 8k helmet and the easton s19 and neither fit my head right. This one fit perfectly, and I realize this is preference. The protection seems pretty good thus far, havent gone head first yet but with this helmet I am not really worried about it if it happens.
