Great helmet
Pros: Quality, Easy to use
Cons: Expensive
This helmet fit so well I almost forgot I had it on. The helmet allows for adjustment to make it sit correctly on your head. This helmet does not move forward or back like my older bauer! It is little expensive but worth the money, IMO.

Mixed reviews...
Pros: Quality, Easy to use, Features
Cons: sizing runs large
I bought this helmet 2 years ago when it came out for $190 as I liked the protection that it offered along with it's adjustability. I purchased a "large" as that is my size. I always had difficulty getting it to fit right. It would hurt the back of my head/neck area. I added padding to the lower portion of the helmet to help with the fitment as it always seemed to slide down as I began to sweat... and this was with it adjusted as small as it could go. It's my opinion that the sizing runs bigger than what it is. Some the pads came off and I just placed them back on as they were still sticky. My 15 year old nephew wears the same helmet and I tried it on since it is a medium and it fit me perfectly. I just purchased another one in a medium as it was on sale. Hopefully this will do the trick and the pads will not fall off of this one.

I wouldn't buy this again
Pros: Features
Cons: Quality, zero response from bauer !
Loved the helmet for the first few months ( under 6 ).
After roughly 6 months the glue which holds the Poron pads let loose. The Poron pads were the whole reason I spent the extra money on this helmet.
I've called Bauer & emailed them multiple times attempting to find out where I could BUY adhesive for this helmet with ZERO RESPONSE from Bauer.
My next helmet will not be a Bauer due to poor quality & lack of response from Bauer.

Sticky Padding
Cons: Quality
A review from some who plays roller derby and not hockey. I tried on this helmet, the Cascade M11 and the Easton 700. This is a good looking helmet, and it fit nice and snug, but I returned it because the padding is sticky from the glue, and I could see how the reports of the padding falling out could happen. In the end I went with the Easton 700.

Excellent Helmet
Pros: Quality, Easy to use, Features
Cons: Expensive
The Bauer 9900 is a fantastic helmet, it fit right out of the box with its easy side, and rear adjustability. It feels very light on the rink and never slipped when i started to get sweaty. The ventilation is nice too with large openings for air to enter and exit. I also like the 2 tone look of it, on my old RBK I never got any compliments on it, my first game with this new helmet I got many comments about it

Poor Quality
Pros: Easy to use, Features
Cons: Quality, Expensive
As noted in another review, the Poron pads come unglued after only moderate use and proper care. The glue is inadequate for the purpose that Bauer is intending and the product needs to be fixed. The padding and other features are excellent but ruined by the poor quality of the glue.

Poor quality liner - Padding falls apart.
Pros: Features
Cons: Quality, Expensive, liner quality is poor., liner falls apart quickly.
Purchased this for the added protection factor. The fit is ok, the quality is similar to other Bauer helmets. The problem with this helmet is that the light silver/gray padding that is attached to the inner lining comes unglued and falls off of the helmet liner. This is after using the helmet for 2-3 months, 3 times/week. The liner has quality issues. Gluing the pads within the liner isn't a solution when the glue breaks down and the padding falls apart. That's not acceptable for a $150 helmet.

This is by far the best helmet i've ever used. The fit is amazing, after awhile you forget that you even have one on. It's very easy to adjust. I know it is expensive, but it is well worth every penny, I dont see myself ever replacing it with anything else.
