Happy with helmet
Pros: Great value, Easy to use, Features
Cons: poor vision
The helmet functions well and is very comfortable and pleased with my purchase.
I would however recommend not buying it with the mask. As blake posted in an earlier review "The only problem I had with the setup was the mask. The horizontal bars affect my visibility", I can't agree more. I was using an older helmet with a true vision visor and find this mask sits too close the the face and blocks my vision badly.
Only other minor thing I don't like about it is the fact that there are slots in the forehead padding. This causes sweat to run down the face rather than my previous helmet that had a solid peace which moved the sweat down to the side of the face, keeping it out of your eyes.

My son plays on a AAA PeeWee team. I bought him this helmet because of the focus on concussion prevention. He's big, he's fast and he hits hard. A month or so ago, he flew into the boards head first. Headache, neck and spine pain for a couple of days. NO concussion. Was it luck or the helmet? Does it really matter? He's had a concussion using the top of the line from a major brand. My conclusion is that this helmet delivers the protection it advertises ... I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone concerned about head injuries. The fact that it is very light and extremely easy to adjust the fit are additional bonuses.

I have 2 kids that play - I read some research at other sites and bought the 1st for my 10 yr old. He took it from the box and fit it on immediately nothing easier - I looked in it around it and compared it to the Bauer's off the shelf - MUCH MUCH MORE protection - made the 2nd purchase that week for my daughter's helmet. The looks is what other parents first saw, everyone wants one a second look inside and its sold. My first I bought the Cascade facecage because I didnt know how easy it was to put a cage on - my 2nd I transferred the old cage 6 screws and 2 snaps exchanged out a little Lock Tite and I saved a chunk of change. I ask all who sneer at the price - you pay how much for skates? And how much for your child's head and future? $80 protection or $120 protection there is a drastic difference, worth every dime.

Cascade M11
Pros: Helped improve my game, Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features
This is the cascade helmet that has many players and even better, parents turning their heads. The helmet has vastly improved on the cosmetics from the previous cascade helmet. Function and Fit are two outstanding bonuses with this helmet. The quick click dial in the back serves the player with an easy way to adjust the helmet as there is no need to mess with side clips. The helmet also has the best padding bar none. The helmet is very comfortable right out of the box and i highly recommend this product to any player, coach and parent.

I was going after a puck and got tripped about 5 feet from the boards and when head first. I only had neck pain for while afterwards. That's about as strong of a recommendation I can give.

Great Helmet, OK Mask

Had the helmet since about October 2009. Been great out on the ice through several blows in games. The only problem I had with the setup was the mask. The horizontal bars affect my visibility, so switched it out for my NikeBauer TruVision setup with the oval shaped bars. Other than that, fit is great and adjustments in the middle of the game are a snap with the single feature in the back.

Great Helmet
Pros: Easy to use
A history of concussions in contact sports attracted me to this helmet when it came out. This was one of the best hockey purchases I have made to date. I've received a number of blows to head by elbows, sticks, pucks, the boards and even the ice and wasn't even dizzy afterwards. I can tell you from experience that I would've been seeing stars or worse if I had my previous helmet on.
