CASCADE M11 Helmet

Concussions have a natural born enemy in the Cascade M11 Helmet. A revolutionary liner system, dubbed Seven Technology, provides the protection of two helmets in one by dispersing impacts laterally and resetting immediately for additional impacts. Combined, this gives you one of the most advanced and protective helmets available today. And if that weren't enough, it's great looking too. * Seven Technology liner system utilizes a ground-breaking impact attenuation system tuned to absorb impact using lateral displacement * Seven Technology behaves like two helmets in one one for catastrophic hits and one for concussions * Within milliseconds, the liner completely resets to ready for the next impact * Total reset capability is proven to perform better than EPP (the foam liner in standard hockey helmets) on successive impacts * Mono 90 shell offers a lightweight stream-lined design * 90/10 shell configuration is lighter, faster, stronger, and reduces direct energy transfer * Dynamic system provides a lower neck adjustment that eliminates pressure points * Ratchet system for tool-free size adjustments * 20 Air vents for maximum air flow * HECC and CSA certified cage Color Specs:Navy / Gold = Navy / Athletic Gold

Pros: Helped improve my game, Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features
I bought this helmet for my soon for Christmas and he loves it. He is 7 and is very aggressive. I was worried about his head and I'm my opinion the price of a good helmet is not an option for brain protection. He has taken some pretty good puck shots off the helmet and barely notices. With his previous helmet he would have to go to the bench for a shift or two to shake it off. Great protection and killer looks. After 4 months it still looks brand new.

Not a good fit for me
A review from someone who plays roller derby and not hockey. I tried on this helmet, the Bauer 9900 and the Easton 700. I really wanted to like this helmet because of all the concussion research that went into it. However, for me it was too heavy (1.5 lbs) and didn't fit my head comfortably. In the end I went with the Easton 700.

decent
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Quality
shield bolts rust out way to quick , have replaced them about 5 times in a year, from switching to the cage and back to a straight shield, pain having to use the spacers every time to put a half shield on it.

Quality Helmet
Pros: Quality, Easy to use, Features
Cons: Expensive, feels hotter on the ice
I used this helmet last season and it did the job very well. Ventilation isn't as good as other helmets so it was a bit warmer but otherwise was extremely comfortable. Took a few hits and didn't feel anything. I don't believe that helmets can prevent concussions but this one had the softest padding I could find.
The downside for me was that it had a tendency to twist around since it fits more rounded that squared (like traditional helmets). If you are close the bottom in sizing I would try the next size down to minimize that risk.
