I bought this helmet after doing some research after I suffered a concussion using a less expensive helmet. If you are looking at getting a helmet, please spend the extra money for this helmet. It is easy to adjust, felt my vision with the cage was better and this helmet hugs your head like a glove. It is very comfortable and feel the protective padding is light years beyond what I had before.

This helmet is very comfortable to wear and I can tell that the protection level is much higher than other helmets on the market. You can also literally adjust the fit while you are playing. The biggest downside for me is how hot it is inside the helmet and the way the sweat is directed right down the front of the face. Are you safer in this helmet: yes. Is the temperature increase smore fatiguing: it seems so. I have friends who have this helmet and have had issues with the hinge system breaking.

Though a little expensive, the M11 is the best helmet out there. Do your own research on the web and you will find it is the most protective helmet to date. My son says it is extremely comfortable and the size adjustment device is simple and effective.
Spend the extra few dollars for this lid-especially if it is for your son or daughter...

I owe it to Cascade, they make the best helmet I have ever used. I should have had a concussion already if it weren't for this helmet. The week after I got it I was checked head first into the boards trying to avoid an icing call. The game stopped, everyone though I was going to be a train wreck, but I bounced right back up, all thanks to the supreme design of this helmet. And the best thing of all is all of these helmets are made right here in the USA!

I bought this for my 7 year old son and he absolutely loves it, very comfortable, and adjusts very easily, he also liked the idea of customizing the vent color. As a coach and a parent I have a much greater confidence in this helmet than the one he was wearing before. It is amazing to see how many parents spend a lot of money on sticks and don't spend as much on their players helmets, remember you can always replace a stick. Well worth every penny!

This is a great helmet. Obviously from a protection standpoint it ranks among the best if not the best. The fit is very good. The adjustment on the back works very well versus the standard snaps on the side that slide. If you've ever had problems with pressure on your temples from a helmet you should not get that with this helmet. It is definitely not the most breatheable helmet - a little stuffy. Weight wise it's okay. In my mind though I would rather sacrifice those two things for how it fits and the protection rating. Overall - awesome helmet.

This helmet is widely regarded as the best available because of the protection it offers - and let's face it, that's why you wear a helmet, right? Still, it didn't work for me - the padding squishes the tops of my ears, making it rather uncomfortable for me. I sold mine to a friend, and he loves it... I would recommend trying it on to make sure it fits, especially since they're not cheap...

this helmet has the best fit of any helmet on the market. I have been playing for 18 years and this is the best helmet I have wore. If your debating between the high end Easton, Rbk, Bauer or this, go with this. I had a hard time deciding till I tried them all. This is the winner. Only problem I have is it is a bit warmer than my last helmet(CCM 550 Pro stock).

there was a kid that got a 5 minute major for charging on me, im very small playing will huge players he rammed his head into mine and i got knocked down ... if i had my other helmet(bauer 1500) i would have got a concussion .. all i had is a little headache for a few minutes i am very pleased with this helmet

The first helmet that fits my head

My head is not terribly large, but probably has a weird shape. Whatever the reason, the only helmet that has even remotely fit me (with noticeable pressure points on the temples) has been Jofa 690. This M11 fits perfectly, with no pressure points whatsoever! I just received it last night, so have not had a chance to skate in it, but it seems to be a very comfortable helmet, if a bit heavier than my old Jofa.
Since I have not played in it yet, I am not in the position to assess its durability or performance, but I am sure it'll be fine.

to me this is definitley the best helmet out on the market, it fits perfectly, is very comfortable, and you dont feel anything if you get hit in the head. you will move around, but you feel nonne of the impact, as with the Easton S19 Z-Shock, you feel EVERYTHING when getting hit, from a little tap on the head, to a crushing hit in the glass. it does this by being able to move around and not be as rock solid as the Z-shock.
the only thing i dont like is the way the ratchet system sticks out, it looks somewhat goofy, but i love being able to adjust it durring a game with ease.

When I decided to purchase a new helmet, I had already decided I wanted the Easton S-19 because I had read all the statistics about the comfort and lightweight characteristics of the new product. When I went into the Total Hockey store in Downers Grove, I tried the Easton on. Yes, it was light, but when I took my hand and slapped the side of the helmet, I felt the impact, even from a soft blow. It seemed like it didn't eliminate the effect of the impact, it only redistributed it. I pointed this out to a sales associate, and he recommended the Cascade M-11. I went for it. You can slam this helmet as hard as you can, and you won't feel a thing. I got hit with a slap shot the first time I used the helmet, right next to the ear guard. My team mates thought the helmet would be cracked. Not only did the helmet survive, but I never felt the impact. I wasn't even phased. Last week, I was completely upended and came down head first on the ice. I did not feel a thing. The protective capabilities of this helmet are absolutely amazing. If you are concerned about preventing injury, you can't go wrong with this helmet. It is not cheap, but I'm convinced it was well worth the money.
