pretty good deal
Pros: Easy to use, Great value, Features
For the price these are great. The padding is very good and the strapping is well constructed. These are not as good as some of the warrior youth shinguards though as there can be issues for skinny kids. Son is tall and skinny so will need some tape to make them tight enough for his preference. If you are already taping then its no issue. The warriors like the Ruckus and Hitman have a dual tightening strap. The warriors are harder to find though and two to three times the price.
As to the review where the lady complained about the loop. Guessing its her kids first time playing. You don't even need to use the loop and the shinguard is no more difficult then any other.

Not such a bargain
Pros: Great value
Cons: Difficult to use
We've had difficulty with the closures - having to thread the velcro straps through a loop while holding the shin guard in place is lousy. Bargain price is not worth it. I'm going to replace them after only a couple uses.
