I also was looking for a compression shirt and was a bit disappointed when I got this and thought I bought it too big. I wore it for the entire season and find it is no worse than a compression shirt and I am not looking to replace it with one. It works just as good as a compression shirt and I find it easier to remove as it is not so tight after sweating in it.

Cons: not a compression shirt
The Vapor long-sleeve grip crew performs as advertised. Once your elbow pads are positioned properly, they will not slide at all. That's exactly why I bought this shirt. I also have a Reebok undershirt, which I absolutely love. The only drawback is the lack of 'grip' on the elbows. That's why I bought the Vapor. Again, it works as advertised. However, as previous reviews stated, this is NOT a compression shirt, which I actually prefer. Instead, it's semi-form fitting and comfortable. Follow the fitting chart closely and you'll be fine. The moisture-wicking fabric also does the job admirably. No problems there. Really, the only disappointment is that it isn't a compression shirt. If you know that going in, I think you'll be quite happy purchasing this shirt. Bauer always makes quality gear and this is certainly no exception. Definitely recommended.

Good shirt, comfortable, good workmanship, however, this is NOT a compression shirt, it’s actually the looser Bauer Hockey fit. It’s certainly not baggy, but it’s not a compression fit either, which I personally prefer. If you’re into a looser fit, this is a great choice, but if you want a compression shirt with the elbow pad grips, I recommend the Under Armour Heat Compression Grippy Senior Long Sleeve Hockey Shirt.
One small complaint is that the pad grips don't quite line up with my elbows. Sleeves seem a little long, but then again, maybe I just need to put on a few pounds.
