CCM Pro EFlex Catch Glove

All new for 2013 is the CCM Extreme Flex Pro Catch Glove. The EFlex Pro is more of a catching glove than previous Lefebvre designed gloves. The pocket size has been increased from the Reebok Premier 4 580 and 590 model catchers. The cuff box size has been reduced to provide maximum catching surface. The break angle on the new 600 falls between that of the Reebok 580 (90 degree break) and 590 (75 degree break) making for the optimal catching style glove. A HD foam finger rail has been added to the backside of the catcher for added protection along the backside of the fingers. The back cuff is free floating from the catcher allowing the goalie to protrude the glove out and forward. This allows the goalie to really square the glove up to the shooter. The stock one piece cuff design offers a solid rigid surface that will not bend when hit with a puck. A two piece cuff is available through custom order.Internally the catcher is wrapped in Reebok's grey SureGrip material. Suregrip is a no slip material that has great durability and really keeps your hand in place. Inside the glove there are three tightening straps; backside of the finger, backside of the hand, and the wrist lock. This gives the goalie the option to wear the glove as tight or as loose as they would like for a true custom fit.FAST CLOSURE: Optimal finger positioning provides comfortable hand positioning to improve performance.NET COVERAGE: Radiused thumb provides a wider opening and larger catching surface area to maximize net coverage.PROTECTION: Additional foam on the finger tip area increases protection on the back of the hand.REBOUND CONTROL: Low-density soft foam at the center of the T-pocket reduces rebounds to provide increased control.

Good glove
I'm coming from a Vaughn 5500, and this glove felt similar though it cocks your wrist forward slightly when you present the glove to the shooter. This took some getting used to but now I do like this feel. The best part of this design is that it allows me to really fire the puck better than I can with any other glove. The first shot that I took with it (I use the overhand position) was surprisingly good - I got a lot of power and height on a shot around the boards.
To me, the glove feels like it puts a lot more surface area above my fingers, and I feel like I can get to more pucks than I used to be able to. It seals well to the ice, and it didn't take very long to break in.
