Warrior Ritual Chest and Arm 2013

The Ritual Chest & Arm for 2013 takes many of it's design cues from the Ritual Pro model, but the protection is geared towards those at a Senior Pro level. Intermediate/Sr. Pro level goalies who are looking for a more traditional chest & arm design will appreciate the protection, mobility, and it's many unique features. For starters, the unit feature large, flexible HD faom shoulder floaters that extend farther down the torso than most other units. Sandwiched between these two floaters is an equally large HD foam sternum plate, and HD foam blocks sit beneath the floaters and sternum protection for an even greater level of protection. Beneath the shoulder floaters sit two additional HD foam plates which provide elite level coverage to the shoulder cap and armpit areas. The belly protection of the pad has attached LD foam protection sewn in to adequately cover the ribs and sides of the belly. The belly flap is hinged at the waist which allows it to expand slightly when crouching in the goalie's stance.Arm protection consists of HD foam pads up and down the arms, with large, hinged HD foam protection over the elbow joint. Large oval shaped HD foam pads cover the hinge in the arm floater for even more protection. The tapered arms fit nicely inside any goalie glove, and the rubber tabs at the end of the velcro adjustment straps make the straps easy to grab and adjust. Molded elbow caps provide excellent protection and comfort.Like the Ritual Pro, adjustable fit options on the Ritual include customization of the shoulder floater fit on the chest, Adjustable Chest Height straps on the spine plate, and adjustable arm lacing. The entire unit is made of Air mesh material for better mobility, and for faster drying.

This is the one!
Pros: Great value, super adjustable for a great fit, great protection
I have been using a Bauer Vapor C&A for 3 years, and was happy with the protection, but not the fit. Recently, I spent 90 minutes trying on about a dozen different C&A's from all the major brands. I was leaning more towards a pro pad to be well-protected, and thought I was going to spend a lot of $ to get it. None of them were "the one" until I tried on the Warrior Ritual. As soon as I put it on, both myself and the store attendant helping me said "this is the one".
First the fit. The Warrior fit great as soon as I put it on. It is well thought out ergonomically, so it sits where it should on the torso, shoulders, arms, and neck. Also, the Warrior is adjustable in every way imaginable - way more so than any other brand I looked at. Every part of the C&A unit is movable to fit your exact dimensions with velcro tabs. I like the torso section relatively tight, and the arms pretty loose. After buying it, I spent about 45 minutes at home getting it just right. It's been perfect so far. One problem I had with my old unit was it would ride up when I really crouched down low, I could feel it pushing up on the bottom of my mask- the Warrior unit has never done it. It stays exactly where I want it without tying it to my pants. Very pleased!
Now the performance. Firstly, I could not believe how light the Warrior unit is. It is literally half the weight of my older Bauer unit. Also, unlike most of the other units I tried on, the Warrior is not stiff when brand new. Some of the brands I tried on I knew would take a while to break in, not so with this one. I've skated with it now 5 times, and have never once thought it was stiff. Honestly, I don't even think about having a new C&A, which is great. The protection has been fine, too. I know it is not a pro pad, but playing men's league and pickup, I haven't felt a stinger yet. The torso protection is great - especially the "wing" pads and breastplate - never felt anything. The torso unit wraps around your sides and gives good protection there - trapping a puck between the elbow and the ribs was no problem. The shoulder caps and elbow pads have been perfect. I've been waiting for the stinger to happen, and so far have never felt one. I've also been hit in the lower forearm just above the cuff of the glove, and again, no issue there. I would say the protection is just as good as my old Bauer, but with a much better fit and lighter weight.
All in all, great fit, super light, and great protection. Plus, I saved hundreds of dollars I thought I would need to spend to have a great C&A.

Pros: Helped improve my game, Great value, Quality, Easy to use
Finally had to buy a new chest protector after 4+ years with my Bauer protector. This Warrior chesty is phenomenal! I am 6'2, 200. I bought the XL. Perfect fit. I played 3 games in 25 hours and this thing needed no break in time. I had zero difficulty with movement. This chesty absorbed the impact of some mean shots and I never felt a thing. It's great to be able to stand in goal and have confidence in your gear. Highly recommend this protector. Seems very well made. Obviously I can't speak to it's durability because I just got it but it looks like it will hold up well.

Great C/A
Pros: Great value, Quality, Features
My old c/a was junk, so I went and tried on 3 or so c/a under $280ish and this was the best one. The Protection with this c/a is awesome for the price point. My brother punched me in the chest with every c/a I tried and this one was the most protective. I have faced some hard shooters and the c/a did the job. This c/a is adjustable in about every way, you really get a custom fit.The c/a has great breathability and it is really comfy. I play competitive inline and rat ice and I've had it for almost a year and the condition is like new.

Bought this for my Bantam age son. Great fit and adjustments so it will grow with him. Arm length adjustments are great since that is where he tends to outgrow his chest pads

Great Job Warrior!!
I ordered this chest piece after being exposed to some of the other Ritual products and I was really impressed with the innovative thought behind their designs.
My previous chesty was a Bauer Elite which is a nice piece, but "wow" Warrior just continues to impress.
I love the features and the protection and all the adjustments and for the price it is a steal!!
I think they could ask for more $$$ with a piece like this..
The bar has been raised!!
Great job Warrior!!
