Best Glove Ever Worn (once broken in)
Pros: Helped improve my game, Quality, Easy to use, Features, vacuums pucks
Cons: tough to break in
Customized at my local store and ordered. Took 8 weeks to arrive but was the best glove purchase I've ever made.
First the sole "major" con: this glove took me forever to break in. I spoke to a Brians rep at a convention who said some of the "game ready" palms take longer than others, depending on individual production. Mine must have been a tough breaker because it took me a solid month (playing 2-3 times a week) to get a good break. That included tricks at home (like the hair dryer trick). During this time it was extremely difficult to fully close and got some bouncers because of it.
Once it was broken in, however, this thing turned into the greatest glove I've ever worn. It's got a massive pocket that literally feels like a bowl, but it's comfortable and fits nicely. Biggest thing most will have to get used to is the lack of a thumb loop, but it fits so well, you get used to not having it.
The pocket is a vacuum. If the puck gets anywhere near the pocket, the glove seems to suck it right in. I've made clean catches with it that I would have bobbled with other gloves. Despite the large pocket, it's still not significantly difficult to play the puck with.
Features are great, the tightening system makes it easy to adjust in-game and overall, is a lightweight glove.
Last thing to improve, which is fixable, the glove does not seal to the ice completely when you freeze. If you put your palm down, the tip of the pocket lifts off the ice and if you put the tip of the pocket down, a space at the palm is exposed. You will have to apply a bit more pressure to get a good seal for a solid freeze. Took a game or two to get used to, but is no longer a major deal.
Overall, best glove ever worn. Almost no complaints. I'll use it until it falls apart.
