Easton Stealth RS II Shinguard

Designed for the elite player in us all, the Easton Stealth RS II Shin Guards emphasize two key ingredients to reach performance glory: Low-profile protection and comfort.Different from the earlier RS version, the RS IIs show maturity in being lighter and more durable while still maintaining an elite level of protection. The calf wrap, outer knee joint, and lower thigh protection feature closed cell HD foams that are supported with perforated mid-density foam for ample protection while keeping the shin pad lightweight at the same time. The RS IIs also feature Easton's Sling Tec design, meaning there is a good distance between your shins and the outer shell permitting impacts to disperse before it reaches your shin.On the inside of the RS IIs there is a removable comfort liner that cradles the lower leg, while a gripped knee doughnut holds your leg in the proper position. The calf strap of the RS IIs is an elastic strap that is 1 and 1/2 inches thick for comfort, and with a 3/4 inch nylon strap that has a soft cushion under the back of the knee helps to keep the shin guards secure to your shins. In the RS II's you get the lightweight protection you need without the bulk and restrictiveness of shin guards in year's past.

Velcro patch missing
Cons: Quality
While the overall design is good in the extra protection afforded by the flap just above the knee, and the streamlined fit of the shinguard, the particular pair I ordered was missing the Velco patch for the calf wraparound. Total Hockey provided a discount rather than having me rebox and mail all the way back to them from Alaska, but I'll have to make one from scratch. Poor quality control by Easton on letting that out of the factory like that. Overly expensive, too.

Great Guards
Pros: Great value, Quality, Easy to use, Features, light, snug fit
These are excellent pads that hug the leg and don't move around during play. I really like how light these are, even when they are covered in sweat they hardly weigh a thing. I have blocked shots with these on and I haven't felt a thing but at the same time these don't feel bulky at all. Defiantly a great hockey investment.
