A couple of things about this stick...
I an "Over-40 C Player" (Adult size Medium) and skate at least twice per week. I originally purchased the Stasny/P-26 blade w/ the 75-flex in Spring,'13 -- and it lasted for 6-months.
This Sherwood stick is EXTRA LONG (no plugs needed for XL skaters) and I easily cut off 6-inches when I got it.
The 75-flex will make it more flexible (and potentially more breakable, too?) than most other adult sticks.
I had been using a different brand's high-end (extra light) stick and found that when the puck was passed to me, it would bounce right of the stick - never stop on the stick. With the RM-19, the stick has enough weight so that the puck stops on the stick much more frequently.
I'm not so sure about it being a $210 "retail value", but what do you want in a $50 stick?!?!
At $50, it's a STEAL... and practically DISPOSABLE, too!!
I just purchased 2 more (1 red + 1 blue) that I expect to last well over a year from now (w/ better care on and off the ice than my 1st RM-19). Also, there is a NOTICEABLE difference in the width of the shaft between the "blue" and the "red" models - the red is "standard" and the blue is "thin".
At $50, I believe this to be a GREAT VALUE for a beginner / intermediate player (not necessarily your A/B player w/ strength and power on the ice).
